First of all, what is Intellectual property?
Intellectual Property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
The law provides for different forms of protection depending on the “class” of your intellectual property. Protection of IP enables the owner to gain recognition or financial benefit from their invention or creation. Below are the types of protection available to owners of IP:
- Copyright
• Trademark
• Patent
